At What Point Do I Take the Wheel to the Shop?

After I get home from work, I’ve been pounding on my Nighthawk’s wheel bearing, trying to get the stupid thing to budge.

I’ve spent… $25 on jack stands, $15 on lubricants, $60 on the puller from Harbor Freight, $5 to replace the 12mm socket I lost, and $15 on a propane torch. I would most likely have been able to take it to a shop for less than that.

Granted, these are all tools I needed and will use again, but the immediate cost has been more than I generally budget for motorcycle stuff.

It’s sunny out and I want to ride.
