Where does the Honda Nighthawk’s Brake Caliper Spring Go?

This one part from my brake caliper, the spring pad (as it’s referred to in the parts catalog when looking up its part number: 45108-ML7-921), well, this part is my extra part. I’m really good at taking things apart and putting them back together, but I didn’t do do great here.

The good news is that the brake is back together and my bike can apparently stop fine without the caliper spring. Regardless, I’ll be really bothered if I can’t figure out where this goes.

  1. it is an anti-rattle spring and fits in the bottom of the the caliper. I left it out on a pit bike I put together because it was broke and it did just fine. Next time you replace the pads you can install it again.

    • Glad to hear about someone running fine without it. It’s on my bedroom dresser right now; I plan on upgrading to steel braided brakeline sometime within the next couple months so I figure I’ll stick it back on then. I spent quite a bit of time trying to make it fit on there before so I might have to have someone more familiar with the bike look at it. Thanks for letting me know!
