Drawn out repairs on the Honda Rebel


Putting the bike back together would have gone a lot quicker if I hadn’t needed to get the exhaust studs fixed on the 250 Rebel, and then I needed to wait for a part for my clutch.

Altogether it was pretty frustrating, dealing with the dual issues of my lack of foresight and also the incredibly long wait times for getting sick parts from bike bandit.

My bike was laid up in my friend Shelley’s garage for about a month, and it could have just been done in less than a week if I had done my own helicoils and if I had all the parts I needed before I took the bike apart in the first place.

There were a few bonuses though, namely my better exhaust repairs, theĀ  fork gaitors, highway pegs, and fancy new clutch springs.
