First off, there’s the Dark Horse Challenge Ride by Indian Motorcycles, and I’d hate to miss out on this winter riding opportunity, especially since I want to test out those Olympia Gloves some more and get some miles on (it’s in downtown Chicago). Even without having this ride as an “excuse” I wanted to spend some more time in cold weather with those gloves and write an addendum to that review as it is.
The Dark Horse Challenge Ride isn’t the only thing going on and that’s going on concurrently with the Chicago Progressive International Motorcycle Show going on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. I wouldn’t have to ride there, but I feel like I’m starting to lose my winter riding cred with the bike having been in the garage for so long.
I haven’t been to a motorcycle show like the Chicago one, and I’ve got no idea what I should expect for that. I’m excited to go there, but I’m not sure if I’m going to end up seeing a bunch of guys wearing Sons of Anarchy fan gear (cosplay, lol) or if it’s just going to be a bunch of people selling things.
The River Valley Rangers have a show coming on the 14th, so my Saturday is already booked, and that just leaves Friday and Sunday.
